VTJ 1st will also feature three “Japan vs. USA” bouts as Kuniyoshi Hironaka takes on Carlo Prater, Mamoru Yamaguchi squares off against Darrell Montague and Kyoji Horiguchi faces Ian Loveland. The event is set to air LIVE on SkyperfectTV.

Rumina Sato is currently riding a two fight losing streak, most recently dropping a first round KO loss to Nico Verresen at “Shooto – Shooto the Shoot 2011? in November 2011. Prior to that he was defeated by Masakatsu Ueda via first round KO at “Shooto – Shooter’s Legacy 3? in July 2011. Sato’s last win was against Ryota Matsune at a Shooto event in May 2010, where he picked up a second round TKO victory. Rumina now has a chance to get back into the win column with a big performance against Tokoro.

Hideo Tokoro is also on a two fight skid, recently dropping losses against Yusup Saadulaev and Antonio Banuelos during late 2011. Prior to that he had built up a four fight winning streak, defeating notable fighters such as Kazuhisa Watanabe, Yoshiro Maeda, Atsushi Yamamoto and Masakazu Imanari earlier in 2011. Hideo will no doubt look to return to that form with a big win over Sato.
